The problem

In the marketplace, we don’t systematically check our organizations for trust and integrity. As a result, our important large organizations have gotten opaque, less communicative, less understandable and less responsive to their members. Implementing accountability, transparency and performance measures in large organizational workplaces has been largely unsuccessful.

The solution

For new ideas and strategies, one practice is to look for solutions in seemingly unrelated disciplines. By combining and modifying reliability and quality assurance engineering test processes, gaming dynamics, emergence engineering techniques, and social media communication channels, Myelin Analytics has created a step-by-step process to bring Trust and performance to the workplace: The Trust Algorithm.

About Us

The idea started when I was walking past the Government Accountability Office (GAO) building downtown Washington DC. Above the entrance doors written in shiny metal letters were the words:

  • Accountability
  • Integrity
  • Reliability

My first reaction was, “That’s hilarious.”  Could these words be possibility related? Accountability? Integrity? But reliability is different.

Washington, D.C.
Government Accountability Office. Washington, D.C.

I have 38 years of reliability, quality assurance engineering policy and program experience working for NASA Headquarters, Secretary of Defense Office, Army, and Navy. Could I use the reliability engineering stress/environmental testing tools, certification audit processes, pass/fail contractual exit criteria, quality benchmarking, configuration management and logistics maintenance principles to assure accountability and integrity?

After years, I have come up with solid innovative policies and practices that I believe can be directly applied to improve large government and corporate organizations.  Using the same tools that I have used to successfully put spacecraft probes on Mars, Moon, and asteroids in the harsh environment of space, I now can help organizations survive the harsh business and civil operating environments by improving their inhouse accountability, integrity and trust processes.

OUR METHOD

01

The To-Do List

Every organization has binders full of rules, standards, job descriptions, company values and more. Do these words mean anything to a randomly selected employee? Or are they just words? Working with your representatives, we consolidate a task list for the entire organization, to answer the basic trust question: Can I be confident that this company does what they say?

02

Verb-Subject Pairs

Next, we parse through to find all the verb-subject pairs which indicate a task. When the thousands of tasks are compiled, we begin the meat of the audit: we find out if they are being completed.

03

Math!

We do the math so you don’t have to. Using our Trust Algorithm, we determine which tasks must be audited and work with your representatives to find who we need to talk to.

04

Final Report

We provide an easy-to-understand report showing your organization’s confidence level. Through our auditing process, we will have gathered true anecdotes from real people at all levels of your organization. These true narratives can be utilized by your advertising and marketing teams to launch truthful campaigns. These narratives give context to data.
